These Terms govern your use of the EMTweaks application and website (emtweaks.com). By downloading, installing, or purchasing EMTweaks, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
EMTweaks is a Windows optimization application that applies system tweaks, provides real-time system monitoring, and includes optional features such as Game Mode. Tweaks modify Windows settings on your own device to improve performance and responsiveness.
You need an account to use certain features. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information when signing up, and use an email address you control.
EMTweaks offers one-time tier purchases (Basic, Standard, Advanced, Pro) that unlock features permanently for your account, and a separate Game Mode subscription. Prices are shown at checkout. One-time tier purchases are exactly that — a single payment for ongoing access to that tier; they are not recurring.
If you purchase using a payment method whose email differs from your EMTweaks account email (for example, PayPal), you can unlock the purchase on your account using the in-app "Claim a purchase" tool with your order number.
Game Mode is a recurring subscription. It bills automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel anytime through the subscription portal linked in the app; when you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current paid period, and you won't be billed again.
By subscribing to Game Mode, you authorize us and our payment providers to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis at the price shown at the time of purchase. We'll continue to charge until the subscription is cancelled. Cancelling stops future charges but does not retroactively refund the current period unless required by law.
Because EMTweaks is digital software delivered instantly, we generally do not offer refunds once a purchase has been made and access has been granted. If you experience a genuine problem — for example, a purchase that didn't unlock, or a technical issue we can't resolve — contact us through our Discord and we'll work with you in good faith. Nothing in this section limits any refund rights you may have under applicable law.
EMTweaks modifies Windows system settings. While every tweak is designed to be safe and reversible, and caution-flagged tweaks require your confirmation, you apply tweaks at your own risk. We strongly recommend creating a system restore point (the app can help with this) before applying changes. We are not responsible for any instability, data loss, or damage resulting from system modifications, especially those flagged as advanced or caution-level.
You agree not to: redistribute, resell, or share your paid access with others; attempt to bypass licensing or payment; reverse-engineer the software except where permitted by law; or use EMTweaks for any unlawful purpose.
If you participate in our affiliate/referral program, commissions are earned according to the program's rules — including that commission is earned once per referred customer, on that customer's first purchase. We may adjust program terms and reserve the right to withhold commissions for fraudulent or abusive activity.
EMTweaks is distributed without paid code-signing at this time, so Windows may show an "unknown publisher" SmartScreen warning during installation. This is expected. You can proceed by choosing "More info" then "Run anyway."
EMTweaks is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee specific performance results, as they depend on your hardware, software, and configuration.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, EMTweaks and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the software or website. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of EMTweaks after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
